No more waiting after HaMotzi.
The Nuu Nuu name
At a Shabbat meal, after the blessing of HaMotzi, we are not allowed to talk. Everyone looks toward the person cutting the challah. My mother, Hannah, used to mutter to my father, Arnie, ‘Nuu Nuu,’ which is a way of saying, ‘Hurry up already and cut the challah!’
Benefits
The person cutting the challah no longer feels pressure. No more uncomfortable silence! No more kids staring at you with hungry eyes! No more people saying ‘NUU NUU’ to hurry you along!
For Shabbat
The Nuu Nuu Challah Knife is made to cut challah and it is designed specifically for the Shabbat table. It has the words שבת קודש (holy Sabbath) and לחם משנה (double portion) laser-engraved onto the blades.
It's a great gift!
The Nuu Nuu Challah Knife makes a great wedding gift, engagement gift and housewarming gift! Imagine that they will think of you every Shabbat!
Individualized
Choose the handle that fits your style. The Nuu Nuu Challah Knife comes in three handle colors: Classic Black, Walnut Brown and Forest Green. Currently we are only manufacturing the knife for right-handed people.

When you have a large family or many guests for Shabbat, the forced silence around the table after HaMotzi until you eat the challah can be uncomfortable. For years, I wanted to create the Nuu Nuu Challah Knife—and I finally did.
